During these unprecedented times, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the health, and safety of our participants is a priority, and this is why we have decided to go Virtual.
JOURNEYS was one of the first homeless organizations in the region to move clients into local hotels to allow them to safely shelter in place and
limit their exposure to the COVID-19 virus. Since March 23rd, JOURNEYS | The Road Home has sheltered over 100 clients in local hotels.
JOURNEYS exists to be a consistent source of hope for clients living in an inconsistent period, guiding them to housing stability and self-sufficiency. Proceeds from the JOURNEYS SuperHero 5k go towards JOURNEYS daily mission to provides shelter, social services, and housing to the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless in 37 towns in north/northwest suburban Cook County.
Anytime and anywhere between June 20 and July 12, 2020

The Superhero 5k run/walk can be completed in your own neighborhood, on your favorite running trail, at the park, or even on the treadmill.
Use a running/walking tracking app via smartphone or a smartwatch to track your progress while on your run/walk between June 20 and July 12, 2020.
Some popular phone apps are Runkeeper, Map My Run, and Strava.

The mission of JOURNEYS is to individually assess and serve its clients while broadening community awareness and involvement.
All proceeds from the race help JOURNEYS continue our mission.
