More than just a race, the Superhero 5k is a family fun event that benefits people facing homelessness and housing insecurity in the north and northwest suburbs of Cook County.

Don't be shy...come dressed as your favorite hero as you race to support your community.

Dogs are welcomed as long as they are on a leash!

NOTE: Registrations after 06/01/25 are not guaranteed a shirt.

Registration for the 5K walk/run and the 1K fun-run include a participant t-shirt, a race bib, and sponsor-donated race bag items.

Awards & Medals

An overall finisher medal will be given to all runners.

A certificate will be given to Overall Fastest Finisher - Male and Female

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place certificates will be awarded in the following age groups for both male and female:

70 and over

Award ceremony will begin after the race is complete.

The 12th Annual Superhero 5K & 1-Mile Fun-Run will be held on June 21, 2025, at Deer Grove East, 1599 Peppertree Drive in Palatine. This year our 5k Course will be USATF Certified!
