Description
Join people from 20 Chicagoland communities at the World Peace Day Fall Run/Walk from 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday, September 24, at the Bartlett Nature Center.
The annual event includes a new 5k Fall run and a 1k Nature Walk that is family- and kid-friendly, on scenic nature trails. World Peace Day is officially recognized by the United Nations, and it is a day that is celebrated globally each September. Festivities also include an International Food Festival, silent auction, face painting, cooperative games, and more.
This event is a fun, healthy way to kick off the Fall season and celebrate World Peace Day. Funds raised support Play for Peace and its efforts to help children, youth and communities in Chicago and areas of conflict around the world. Registration is a $25 donation for adults and $10 for children ages two and older.
