Description
The Sprint Triathlon Challenge program is a 10-week training program (2 ability levels) designed to prepare you to complete the Tri the Illini Triathlon held on September 16, 2018. Tri the Illini Triathlon is a Sprint Distance Triathlon featuring a 300 meter pool swim, 14.5 mile bike and 3.1 mile run. The race is held at the Activity Recreation Center on the University of Illinois Campus in Champaign, IL. This program is designed for those who want to do their first sprint distance triathlon or are beginners and want to do better. This program does not cater to advanced athletes. The Sprint Triathlon Challenge program is based at Illinois Wesleyan University, Shirk Center, Pool Classroom.
Program Includes:
- 10 Week Program led by a 25-year professional coach (Masters degree, USAT certified) and certified coaches
- Coached group swim sessions
- Group bike and run sessions
- Classroom mini-clinic sessions designed to help make you successful on race day
- Program t-shirt
- Lots of fun and support with others
- Post-race celebration
