New Date: 10/31/2020
After much deliberation, consultation with local first responders, assessing guidelines from federal, state and local governments and observing the actions of local and international events, Frontline OCR will be postponed and moved to 10/31/20, Halloween.
This was not an easy decision, but one we felt was in the best interest of our local and global community. Frontline OCR was created as a way to honor and bring awareness to first responders and the military. We feel that by moving forward with a race, midst the uncertainty of this pandemic, it would be counter intuitive to those we are honoring. Frontline OCR does not want to be a catalyst for creating an opportunity for a resurgence of infections, while it appears our community is making progress.
Again, this decision was difficult, but necessary. All the sacrifices we are collectively making need to respected and continued, so as to greatly reduce the spread of Covid-19.
The new date is 10/31/20, yes, Halloween. All registrations will be transferred to said date. Should conflicts arise with this date, per individual, the race registration will be transferred to the 6th Wave in May 2021. Registrations will remain active for the new date of 10/31/2020.
We greatly appreciate your understanding of our decision. Please stay safe and continue practicing social distancing. It is making a positive impact. We are in this together. Hopefully we will see each other at an event sooner, than later.
