Description
Create a team with your family and friends and challenge yourselves to run the distance across California virtually. Select the 155 mile challenge to complete the distance from San Francisco to South Lake Tahoe, the 347 mile challenge to complete the distance from San Francisco to Los Angeles or the 705 mile challenge to complete the distance from north to south.
Here's how it works:
1. Choose your teammates and come up with a fun team name. The first person to register creates the team. After the team has been created, each team member can join the team during their individual registration process.
2. Once all team members are registered, each of team member runs where they want and when they want to accomplish the distance. (Ex: Jill runs 160 miles, Jack runs 50 miles (slacker), and Bill runs 137 miles to complete the 347 mile San Francisco to L.A. challenge).
3. Once your team has completed the 155, 347 or 705 mile challenge, submit your results to get your finisher certificate and you'll have earned bragging rights to say you and your team accomplished the #GreatRunAcrossCalifornia.
4. Once you have registered, your shirt will be shipped to you right away. Once you complete the challenge, your medal will be shipped to you.
How to submit your result
Don't forget to print your finisher certificate once you submit your results! Results must be submitted by 9/30/2020.
TEAM RELAY RUNNERS:
Set a goal for each participant and keep track of your mileage throughout your 30 day challenge by following this results link. Submit your results for each leg of your challenge as you go so that you don't have to keep track of your mileage on your own. Please be sure to add up your time as you go and enter it at the top each time. When submitting a run, click "submit another activity" to ensure it gets added on top of what you have already ran. Follow the steps below:
1. Log into your RunSignUp account.
2. Follow this results link.
3. Click on "Submit Virtual Results"
ONCE YOUR TEAM HAS COMPLETED THE 155/347/705 CHALLENGE:
4. Have your Team Captain fill out this Google form here. Your results will be posted to the leader board within 24 hours.
SOLO RUNNERS:
Keep track of your mileage throughout your challenge. You can submit your results for each leg of your challenge so that you don't have to keep track of your mileage on your own. Sign in to your Run Sign Up account and follow this results link to track your progress. Follow the steps below:
1. Log into your RunsSignUp account.
2. Follow this results link.
3. Click on "Submit Virtual Results"
FAQ's
When will my shirt be shipped?
Shirts will be shipped out weekly beginning on 5/29.
When will my medal be shipped?
Medals will be shipped out when you/your team completes the challenge.
What date do I start the challenge?
After your register, you can start the challenge on any day you would like. Start logging your miles on that date.
How many people can I have on team?
Teams can have 2-20 participants.
How long do I have to complete the challenge?
Teams have 30 days to complete the challenge, individuals in the 705 mile challenge have 90 days, individuals in the 347 challenge have 70 days, and individuals in the 155 challenge have 60 days to complete the challenge.
How do I print out my finisher certificate?
Congratulations on conquering the The Great Run Across California Virtual Team Relay/Solo Challenge! After you submit your results, there is a button in the top right corner that says "print my finisher certificate." If you are a team relay runner, once your results are posted on the results board, you can click on them and then select "print my finisher certificate."
I ran as a team and I submitted my results in the Google form. When will my results show up?
Please allow 48 hours for our team to get your results on the state-wide leader board.

When do I need to submit results by?
You can submit results anytime before September 30th.
I already registered but I want to go back and add the medal. What do I do?
You can manage your add-ons by clicking the blue "Manage my Registration" link in the bottom of your confirmation email.
What charity does The Great Race Across California support?
This race supports the Children's Heart Foundation. 10% of your registration goes toward the Children's Heart Foundation. If you would like to donate additional funds, you can do so under the "Charity" tab.
