-How long do I have to complete the event?
April 25-May 27
-How do I track the mileage?
You will have access to an online form where you can fill it out on your phone or computer. You can submit each run and will be see each other’s progress. Please allow some time for the full update of your total distance.
-How much is this event?
-What do I get for completing the race? And what does the money get used for?
You will receive one “Rec Your Quarantine” t-shirt. Money for this event will be used for the sign-up registration fee, shipping fees, and the price of the shirt.
-How will I receive my t-shirt?
If the Rec. Center is open, you may stop by and pick up your shirt. If the Rec. Center is closed, your shirt will be mailed to you. Please make sure to include a reliable address where you can receive your shirt.
-How long is the race?
52.4 miles (2 marathons)
Breakdown: ~1.74 miles a day or 2, .87 mile walks a day
-How do I complete the mileage?
Run, Jog, Walk, Rollerblade, Elliptical, Bike, or Crawl your way to the finish line.
-What if I cannot get outside to walk?
We encourage you to get creative, make a walking path around your house or use the stairs to go up and down numerous times to achieve your mileage. If you have a garage, what a great time to clean out things and make a path!
-Why should I participate?
We may all be practicing social distancing, but that does not mean should stop communicating with one another. Invite a friend, virtually, to complete this mileage with you. It will give you a nice topic of discussion at your next virtual dinner date over Zoom, Facetime, or any other platform you use. This event is designed to challenge you to be active and smile along the way.
