Hello!
SIU Recreational Sports and Services (RSS) is thrilled to offer the third year of our sprint distance triathlon: The Saluki Triathlon! Whether you are an avid triathlete or a first-time competitor, we hope you enjoy competing on our beautiful campus while testing your abilities at swimming, cycling, and running. For our biathletes and those not enthusiastic about swimming, the Saluki Duathlon may be a better fit. Test your skill and abilities at cycling and running.
The Saluki Triathlon consists of 7.2 miles of swimming, cycling, and running. Participants will begin with a 0.2 mi swim in SIU Campus Lake, transition to a five mile bike course hugging the south and west side of campus, and end the experience with a two mile run on SIU Campus Lake trail. The Saluki Triathlon is open to individuals and teams of ages 12+.
The Saluki Duathlon is a scenic seven miles of cycling and running around campus. The Saluki Duathlon is open to individuals of all ages, and children that are eight years old or younger can register free of charge.
The triathlon and duathlon will be concurrent. Please do not register for both events.
Both races will start @ 8:00AM.
Competitors are required to bring their own bikes.
Race day registration is available but reserve your spot today.
