Frequently Asked Questions

Is this an indoor or outdoor race?

It is a combination of both. The swim will be located in our aquatic center lap pool. The bike and the run will be outside on the local roadways.

How will the swim be formatted?

The swim is “serpentine” style. Swimmers will line up in a single file line, enter the pool one at a time in lane 8, swim down and back, go under the lane line to lane 7, swim down and back, then repeat that process until they have swam down and back in all 8 lanes of our pool (400 meters = 0.25 miles). We use chip timing so your timer will not start until you enter the lap pool.

Do I need to bring my own bike?

Yes. You will need to bring your own bike and helmet.

Are helmets required during the bike portion of the race?

Yes. Helmets are required. A volunteer will be located at the bike transition making sure that everyone leaving the bike racks has a helmet on.

A member of my team is sick last minute. Can I sub them with another person?

Yes as long as the person fits the team category that your team is registered under (Male, Female, Co-ed). Make sure your sub visits the registration table on the day of the event so we can update your team's registration materials and make sure your sub has all the appropriate paperwork filled out.

Can I receive a refund if I am unable to attend the race?

No. Registrations for the Tri-Festa Triathlon are non-refundable.

I registered for the race, but now I am unable to make it. Can I still pick up my t-shirt?

Yes. If you registered before the t-shirt deadline, then you may still receive your tshirt. You or a representative on your behalf will need to stop by registration on the day of the race or visit Logan Fitness the week following the race. We will hold any tshirts that are not picked up at registration until the first Friday following the race.

Will the run and bike routes be closed to traffic during the race?

No. The roadways will remain open to traffic during the race. Please be aware of your surroundings and follow any instructions given by the police officers and volunteers while on the course.

I missed the registration deadline to guarantee a tshirt. Will any shirts extras be ordered?

Yes. Extra shirts will be available in limited quantities. These will be given out at registration on a first come, first served basis.

Is there a cut off time for this race?

No. There is no cut off time for this race. The police and volunteers are to remain on the course until the last person finishes the race. However, we will serve food at approximately 10:15am and the award ceremony will begin at approximately 10:30am depending on the flow of the race.

Can I sign-up on the morning of the race?

Yes. Same-day registration will be allowed. Please visit the tent in the JALC parking lot on the morning of the race between 6:30-7:45am to register the morning off. Online registration will close on 5/24/24.
