Reindeer Run Cancelled for 2024

Thank you for signing up for our annual reindeer run.  Due to unforeseen circumstances, a decision was made that the event needs to be postponed until Summer or Fall of 2025. We are happy to refund your payment directly to you in the mail or if you choose to still use this as a donation, you can write this off for tax purposes as we are a not-for-profit 501C3.  We are again sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for all of your support.  We hope to see you at our upcoming National Night Out event at Kaper Park on Thursday, August 8th!  The event is free, we will have 15 food trucks, games, face painting, balloons, a helicopter landing and more!  We will also be giving away free bikes and helmets and will have send off fireworks at the end of the event!

Description

Early Registration is open!  Reindeer Fun Run and Walk is back for the 3rd year, this time in July!  

This annual 5k is a fundraising event, organized and hosted by the Cary Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association. The CPAAA is a 501.C3 non profit organization which assists the Cary Police Department in the planning and sponsoring of community events such as National Night Out, Cones with the Cops, and many more.   All the funds go directly to the CPAAA and will aid to fund future community events with the Cary Police Department.

This is a festive, holiday themed event for the community and will include the following:

A family friendly walk/run, donuts, fruit & cocoa bar, DJ, along with Santa on site to cheer you on!

Most festive dressed contest with prizes for most festive dressed child and family/or group running or walking together and MOST FESTIVE well behaved dog! 

The event takes place at Hoffman Park and the Village of Cary trails. It will begin by the disc golf entrance sign and will finish at the gazebo at the dog park.

Hurry and register by 7/01 to receive the early bird rate: 

Reindeer 5K Fun Run:  Early bird:  $30 ages 13+ / $10 for 12 and under.   As of 7/1, the event price will increase to $40/$15.

Reindeer 1K Fun Walk:  Early bird:  $20 ages 13+ / $5 ages 12 and under.  As of 7/1, the event price will increase to $30/$10.

Race packet pickup will be at Cary Dunkin’ Donuts between 4-7pm Thursday, July 25th or at 9:00am the day of the event at Hoffman Park. Race packet will include a t-shirt and some festive goodies!  

Parking will be available at the Hoffman Trails Dog Park parking lot and street parking allowed along West Main and Ivanhoe lane.

The Reindeer Fun Run and Walk is a 3 mile (5k) run event followed by a 1 mile walk event, which will be held along the Hoffman Park and Village of Cary IL trails on Saturday, July 27th. Check in is at 10:00am with the run starting at 10:15am. The 1 mile walk will begin immediately after the run.

***This event will NOT be timed, this is a fun run/walk to support the CCPAAA. 

Unfortunately no refunds will be given due to weather.
