Description
The Big Gay 5K is back in a BIG way and we have gone virtual. Cue Gay Gasp! Runners will join together across the country to complete 5k virtual races while celebrating LGBTQ Pride in a positive and healthy way. Athletes will have a choice of two routes in their city to run or walk and experience an interactive experience through the RaceJoy app. The swag will be flowing - All registrants will be treated to an exclusive neck gator designed to be THE centerpiece of any Pride ensemble for those carefully planned food and drank pick-ups. And, everyone will receive the glitziest, gayest finisher medal you can dream up. Prepare your friends for an Insta glitter bomb! We'll also share a special live broadcast on June 27 featuring local drag personalities and providing the inspiration and fun you crave to complete the Big Gay 5K.
Proceeds benefit the AIDS Foundation of Chicago (AFC), the leader in the fight for HIV prevention and treatment services in Illinois. AFC works to improve the health of people living with or vulnerable to HIV and chronic conditions and build movements towards achieving the end of homelessness and new HIV cases in Illinois.

Due to COVID-19 social gathering guidelines, Fleet Feet stores can only accommodate a small group of people at any given time. You MUST sign up for 15-minute pick-up window with Fleet Feet Chicago. Our Beneficiary
The AIDS Foundation Chicago (AFC) brings together service providers and funders to develop systems that meet the needs of those living with HIV/AIDS and to maximize the use of scarce resources. AFC manages more than $17 million in local, state, and federal funds for an array of AIDS-related services. By assisting government entities in planning, distributing, and monitoring service contracts, AFC helps develop provider expertise and promotes uniform and high-quality delivery across the region.
Until there is a vaccine and a cure, comprehensive HIV prevention services remain our best weapon in the fight against HIV/AIDS. The AIDS Foundation Chicago is committed to working with policymakers and service providers to increase funding for prevention services and programs that work.
