Central Region Virtual 5k Walk/Run

Welcome to the 2021 Central Region Virtual 5k Walk/Run!

Thank you to everyone who has signed up to participate!

Registration is now closed, but you can still donate and participate in the race. Please be advised that in order to meet deadlines for production, we are no longer distributing t-shirts and medals.

This past year has presented lots of challenges, but just because we can't be together it doesn't mean we can't move together! Invite your Sorors, Sisters, Sistas, Brothers, Family, and Friends to join in on this virtual event. You can participate from any state and schedule your race at a time that is convenient for you or your group. There will also be a contest for participation! Please be sure to read all of the information carefully so that you don't miss out on any of the extra goodies!

REGISTRATION.

Registration opens on Friday, January 29th. The fee for participation is $40 (plus a $3.32 processing fee).

If you wish to receive a medal and race t-shirt for participation, you must be registered by Wednesday, March 17th.

RACE.

Participants can run/walk at any time beginning Thursday, April 1st and all racers should log their completion no later than Thursday, April 29th. Be sure to take pictures and post them! Please use the hashtag #Central5k and then email photos to Fit@SGRhoCentral.com

Race Packets. Race packets will be mailed to participants between April 20th-22nd. Packets will include a race t-shirt, bib, and custom finishers medal (additional costs for t-shirt sizes 2XL-4XL). Participants do not have to wait to receive their items before completing the 5k.

Central Region is not responsible for packages that may be lost or stolen in transit. Tracking numbers will be provided when your package is shipped. Please ensure that the address on your registration information is correct.

CONTEST. 

Chapter Participation. To help promote sisterhood and community, we want to reward the chapters with the most registered participants. The chapters with the top 3 highest participation rates by percentage of chapter membership will receive the following cash prizes:

1st place- $100, 2nd place- $50, and 3rd place- $25

If your family or friends register, be sure to have them list your chapter's name/or your name in their registration so that your chapter will receive the credit. 

GIVEAWAYS.

Each registered participant will automatically be entered to win a variety of e-gift cards from drawings conducted throughout the Central Region Conference. If your name is drawn for a giveaway, you will be notified via email during the weekend of the event.

REFUNDS.

Due to event costs invested prior to the race (including but not limited to advertising, bibs, prizes, and shirts), entry fees will not be refunded.
