Fuerza Chicago 5K

Fuerza Chicago 5K is a virtual run presented by Midway Mile Chasers. MMC is known throughout Chicago’s running community as one of the largest and most active running groups. Although our name represents Midway, our group represents many of Chicago’s neighborhoods. MMC has established a large presence in almost all large Chicago running events and races. We are not just runners looking for medals, miles and personal records. MMC is always looking for ways to give back to our communities. When MMC says “No one left behind”, it is not specific to just runners. The purpose of Fuerza Chicago 5K is to raise funds for Gads Hill Center Emergency Fund Relief in Brighton Park. 

GADS Hill Center is a non-profit organization located and serving in Chicago’s Brighton Park neighborhood. Although GADS Hill Center offers many services to the community, recent events have shifted their focus on assisting families with basic needs such as utility and phone payment assistance, as well as provision of medicine and food. Just as running is a crucial part of a runner’s life, GADS Hill Center has become a crucial part of Chicago’s Brighton Park neighborhood.

In keeping with MMC’s mantra, we are asking the running community to join us for the Fuerza Chicago Virtual 5K.  Proceeds will be donated to GADS Hill Center so they can continue their incredible work. Running has done so much for each of us; we can now share of passion of running and help others in need through MMC’s Fuerza Chicago Virtual 5K!

WHAT IS A VIRTUAL RUN?

Virtual races give runners and walkers the flexibility to complete the race at any time, at any pace, and in any location. Complete the race inside on your treadmill, or outside in your neighborhood!

Track your time and compete with others or complete the race on your own time. You can even just register to receive a race t-shirt. The choice is yours! We encourage all levels of participation.

In the time of social distancing, FUERZA CHICAGO 5k is a great way to stay active, engage with the community, and participate in some healthy competition while supporting Gads Hills Center Emergency Relief Fund.

T-SHIRTS

A unisex size Race T-Shirt is included with your registration fee. To ensure you receive the T-Shirt size you ordered, please register by Thursday, June 18. We will do our best to provide you with the T-Shirt size you ordered, however, this is not guaranteed after June 18th.
