Near North's MOTHER'S DAY 5K Walk/Run is a family-friendly event where participants and patients can engage in accessible and affordable physical activity in the comfort of their community while honoring the women in their life. The routes cover the historic Kenwood, Oakland, and Bronzeville communities on the South side with a beautiful view of the lakefront. The event is donation-based (suggested donation being $20).

A flower for every mother: Everyone gets one - mother, grandmother, aunt, sister.

Activities & Fellowship: After completing the event, participants will have the chance to spend more quality time, enjoy refreshments and speak with vendors.

All profits will go towards supporting our PACIFIC GARDEN MISSION PATIENTS.

Near North Health Service Corporation (NNHSC), a 501(c)(3) non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is one of the largest providers of community-based primary health care in Chicago. We provide medical services, social services, and nutrition education to medically indigent and uninsured individuals and families. Our philosophy reflects an approach that anticipates community needs and plans for expansions that are developed in accordance to these needs. Throughout our evolution, not only have our methods held up under the intense new demands of ever-changing communities, but also we have come through with shining results. We are proud to report that our successes now serve as a national model for excellence in community-based primary health care.

Near North Health Service Corporation targets low-income communities on the north, west, and south sides of Chicago. While disparate, NNHSC service areas are characterized by large concentrations of Chicago Housing Authority high rise apartments, abandoned residential buildings, blighted commercial properties, and an utter absence of basic services and health care resources. To meet the needs of these communities, we offer a full array of comprehensive primary care clinical services, nutrition education, and social support programs through our nine comprehensive health centers and two supplemental nutrition sites.
