10 miles of pure bliss! Saturday, July 14th, gun goes off at 7:30am.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Since 2004 we have held the race at the Argonne Family Park on Cass. Argonne National Laboratory is unable to share the Family Picnic area this year. New this year we will be starting and finishing on 940 South Frontage Rd on the east side of Lemont Road. It lends for a fast start/finish where your family and friends can cheer you in to the finish! We will have plenty of parking in the lots off S Frontage Rd near the Lemont Rd freeway exit.
All runners will receive an awesome tech tank (gender specific cut), rustic finishers medal, BBQ breakfast, a high five from John as you cross the finish line, and a morning of incredible trail racing!
Enjoy a well earned breakfast provided by the one and only Chuck's BBQ! Yes, he does breakfast as well as he does BBQ! Runners prepare yourself for a treat!
There is plenty of parking in the lot off S Frontage Rd. (940 S Frontage Rd) The best way to get to the start/finish line and parking lot is to take the Cass Ave exit from Hwy 55, head south to Frontage Rd and go west. Two miles down Frontage Rd you will be greeted by the Xtreme Parking Boss! He will direct you to the parking lot.
Proceeds from this one of a kind trail race will support a one of a kind charity, Big Rig Books! John Gervase, in his spare time, while driving his Big Rig visits underserved schools delivering books to school age children. He touches children's lives everyday one book at a time!

Walk Up registration will be available at both Peak Running locations during packet pick up or race morning from 6:30am until 7:10am. Cash or check only. Race day registration is $60.00
Benefitting Big Rig Books!
Big Rig Books is a mobile literacy outreach initiative focused on fostering recreational reading beyond the classroom by encouraging reading and providing books for children and families in economically challenged, underserved communities and underperforming schools.

Run hard to earn Chuck's BBQ breakfast! All runners will be treated to a de~lish breakfast from the one and only Chuck's!
CARA Race Circuit
The WFG Xtreme 10 has been selected to be part of the CARA Runners’ Choice Circuit by the Chicago Area Runners Association (CARA). CARA members annually select many of their favorite races to be included on the CARA Runners’ Choice Circuit, a collection of 15 races across the city and suburbs. The CARA Runners’ Choice Circuit promotes participation in local races, provides a competitive structure for area runners, and has long been a source of camaraderie for local runners, and within and between local running clubs. Runners of all levels annually participate in CARA Circuit Races to chase personal and competitive goals, to complement their year long training programs and to enjoy the camaraderie of the CARA running community. Well spank my ass and call me Sally! By overwhelming demand, we have added a new wave, THE BEER MILE!!!
The last wave, after the elites have put us all to shame, is when race night gets out of control-well not too out of control. After all, we are civilized runners that have the highest standards and are models for our communities. Requirements to sign up: You must be at least 21 with proof of age; you must have a designated driver or pass a breath test (please don’t eat garlic before the test); and if you must, and you will, reverse ingestion (hurl) you must do so in a manner that is out of the race director’s view. Rules for the BEER MILE will be announced prior to the start.
