Description
The Robin Vogel 5K run/walk is being held to honor and remember Officer Robin Vogel. Robin was a Decatur, IL Police Officer who was killed in the line of duty. Robin's patrol vehicle was struck by a drunk driver on 10/1/05. Two days later on 10/3/05 she succumbed to her injuries suffered in the accident. The money raised from this event will go towards a scholarship in Robins name that will be given to a High School senior in the Decatur/Macon County area. Also a portion of the money raised will be donated to the National Law Enforcement Fallen Officers Fund in Washington DC.
