Description
LET'S GET PHYSICAL with this 80's themed AEROBIC-THON for charity! It will be TOTALLY TUBULAR to do aerobics for (up to) 6 hours! Go as long as you can, it will be so GNARLY! When you've had enough...just quit, DUH! It's totally up to you. Food/beverage stations will be available. Participants may take bathroom breaks, and then back to the fun.
Want to do it with a friend? Teams of two can register for a TAG TEAM! When you get tired, just tag in your buddy (tag team minutes will be split 50/50 for fundraising pledge calculation and swag).
HOW IT WORKS: Register as a single participant or a Tag Team. Ask your friends and family to pledge a cents per minute donation to support you while you do aerobics for charity! Flat donation amounts are also accepted. Registered participants are asked to commit to raising a minimum of $100 each in pledges! The more you raise the more RAD SWAG you will earn! NOTE: Your registration counts toward your pledges. As soon as you register, you're starting with $20 in pledges!
WHAT YOU GET: Registered participants receive a custom branded Aerobic-thon terry cloth sweatband and wrist bands, plus additional swag (below) for fundraising! Every hour that you are still going, you'll be entered to WIN prizes, including FREE shoes, gift baskets, branded swag and MORE! Raise $100 in pledges- receive a custom branded Aerobic-thon shirt (in addition to swag above)
Raise $200 in pledges - receive a custom branded Aerobic-thon legwarmers (in addition to swag above)
Raise $300 in pledges - receive a custom branded Aerobic-thon sweatshirt (in addition to swag above)
Raise $500 in pledges - receive a custom branded Aerobic-thon duffle bag (in addition to swag above)
Additional PHAT prizes will be awarded each hour as an incentive to KEEP GOING, along with raffle prizes!
FUNDRAISING: Registered participants will receive a Pledge Sheet. Ask your friends and family to pledge a cents/minute donation to support you or make a flat donation. The more you raise, the more awesome swag you will earn. Event day you will do aerobics as long as you can (or want to). Event officials will enter your total minutes on your pledge form and give it back to you along with an envelope. You will have 1 week to collect from your sponsors and return the envelope with the total funds inside.
CHARITY SUPPORTED: Students on the Run Intl., Inc., a non-profit entity founded to train high school students to run a half marathon. The Program is completely free for high school students, but they all run a local race together as a group at the end of training. They provide confidential assistance so that no student is left out because of their ability to pay the race entry fee. Additionally, they provide Team training shirts, footwear (new or gently worn), food for after their weekend long run; no student goes home hungry after training.
