The Conservation Foundation is turning 50!!
To help us celebrate this milestone, we are challenging everyone to get outside! Walking, rolling, swimming or snowshoeing, we don't mind. We know time outdoors is beneficial to our minds, bodies and souls. Let's commit to getting out there, trying some place new, and sharing some stories along the way.
Double Your Miles
Have you ever noticed that a cold beer tastes better after a hike? Or a pizza after a paddle on the river? We have. That's why we put together a list of Perfect Pairs: great outdoor destinations and an eatery/winery/brewery nearby that will put the ::chef's kiss:: on the whole experience!
If you're like us, you have your go-to parks and preserves for your nature needs. But if you're ever in need of a good recommendation for someplace new, look no farther than our Top 10 Hikes list in each of our core counties of Kane, Kendall, Will and DuPage! And if you want some Perfect Pairings, read on below! Each month, we are featuring a different location where you can DOUBLE YOUR MILES if you visit, and we've suggested a great local eatery, winery, or brewery to top off your adventure.

Monthly Raffle
On the first of every month, we will pull a name from the list of participants who logged miles during the previous month. Fabulous gift cards will be offered thanks to some very generous local establishments. Whether you log 1 mile or 100 miles any given month, just make sure you enter them for a chance to win!
