Description
Welcome to the inaugural Schon Park 3/6/9 Endurance Runs! Hosted by Ultra Bound Coaching. You have a unique opportunity to push the limits of how far you can go. This is a timed event with durations of 3, 6 and 9 hours on a 1.5 mile looped course. The idea is simple - how far can your feet take you in the time frame??? The course features paved paths with rolling hills and aid station support provided at basecamp. There is ample space available for you to set up with your crew (if needed).
Can you survive the loops of death and destruction?
Times:
9 hour duration begins at 9 am
6 hour duration begins at 12 pm
3 hour duration begins at 3 pm
Awards:
All runs end at 6 pm with awards immediately following. Awards for top male and female overall and top 3 for each age group (under 20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+)
*Awards will be based on the number of loops completed and finish time within the timed limit.
*There will be swag for all runners!*
Packet Pickup:
Early packet pickup – Friday, March 28th - 3:00PM-6:00PM at Runwell , 142 N Main St, Edwardsville, IL 62025
Race day - 8AM – until your registered start time at Schon Park
Rules (because you have to have some):
1. Do not litter. Because we are all nice people who respect our environment. And want to be allowed back.
2. Loops must be completed by your own feet (we’re looking at you Lime scooter) - run, walk, skip to your heart’s content.
3. Trekking poles are prohibited (and also not needed)
4. Crew is welcome to support at the basecamp only and pacers are not allowed
5. The water features of Schon Park are lovely, but seeing at this is not a triathlon, no swimming allowed
6. Each loop must start and finish by passing the over timing mats
7. The park, and course route, will be open to the public for the duration of the race. Be nice.
8. The weather in March in the Midwest is unpredictable. Plan accordingly.
Course Support:
Basecamp will feature an aid station stocked with water and a variety of ultra distance favorites (think carbs and salt). If you require specific nutrition or hydration, plan ahead to ensure you have what you need. Crew support is welcomed and encouraged at basecamp. There is ample space for your crew to set up and spend the day.
Possibly the most important aspect of basecamp…..there are REAL bathrooms onsite! We are all runners, we get it, shit happens.
