About Rally For Ron

Rally For Ron was started in 2013 in honor of Ron Perez, who passed away suddenly at 41. Ron was a devoted husband and father and loved spending time with his children.

Our first fundraiser in 2013 raised money for Ron's two young children. The amount of support our family received from the community was overwhelming. We spoke with our supporters and heard their stories about neighbors, friends, and family who also lost a parent. We discovered that 1 in 20 kids would experience the loss of one or more parents before 17.

We decided to become a 501(c)(3) to help families like ours. Our mission is to offer one-time financial assistance to families in the community with young children who have suddenly lost a parent.  We understand that the heartache these families are experiencing will never go away, but if we can reduce their worries about paying a couple of bills, that will allow them time to mourn as a family.

Ron loved family above all else, and we know he would have been honored to be a part of a cause that promoted family.
