On Saturday September 22nd, from 4pm-6:30pm, the Homewood Business Association is holding the first annual 0.3k run. Finally a running event for the rest of us! Underachievers Welcome!
The September 22nd event will start on Martin Avenue at Hickory Rd and will end in Martin Avenue Square. Run, Walk or Roll 365 Yards. This is a race for everyone. Costumes and silly outfits welcome and awarded.
Kickstart the run with a free beer from local favorite Rabid Brewing. If you run out of steam delicious Krispy Kreme donuts and Starbucks coffee will be available midway at our hydration station for carb loading. End the race at Martin Square with a smooth vodka/lemonade shot from the drink masters at Copper Still and a slice of Homewood’s very own, Aurelio’s pizza. Hang around for our fun run after-party with all of our sponsors and our favorite local rockers, Staff Infection.
All proceeds will benefit the new Homewood Arts Council and the Cancer Support Center, all 501(c)(3) organizations.
Registration will be open from September 13-20. While we're confident we'll have enough, we can't guarantee swag bags will be available the day of the race for people registering after the 12th. For anybody that doesn't receive their swag bags then, they can be picked up 2-3 weeks after the race. We will contact you when the bags are ready.
