This year's Wave Runner program looks a bit different, so please read through these details to make sure it is the right running program for you.
The training plans that will be followed during the 6 week program will not be suited to beginner runners. Therefore we recommend that participants signing up for the 7K be able to run at least 1 mile consistently and those signing up for the 12k be able to run 3 miles consistently by the start of the program.
While multiple leaders will be present at each session, they will not be leading designated groups as in the past. Leaders' roles will include: check in/out, guiding group warm-up/cool-down stretches, lead course runner and follow-up runner(s). Leaders will be able to guide you in your running questions or concerns during warm-up or after the run. We will send out electronic education regarding a variety of running topics throughout the program.
Program Dates & Times: March 16 - May 1st
Runs will meet weekly on Tuesdays at 5:30pm and Saturdays at 8:30am.
Locations will vary but may include: Tipton Park, Underwood Park/Triangle, Colleen Hoose, GE Park, Behind the Chateau & Keg Grove Brewery
If you are not a member, please consider joining first!
*Please bring a mask for check-in/out and in case of coming within 6 ft of others. Stretches will be performed in a spread out group. Masks are not required during the workout since we will be outdoors and will spread out on our runs.
