Brat Trot 5K

Kickoff your fall racing schedule with the Brat Trot 5K on September 10, 2016.  The race starts at 8:30 am and will be chip timed on a USATF certified 5k course, starting and finishing at the historic Emmanuel Episcopal Church in La Grange, and winding through the beautiful tree lined streets of the village historic district. The race is presented by Emmanuel, All Saints Episcopal of Western Springs, First United Methodist Church of La Grange, Grace Lutheran church of La Grange and First Congregational Church of Western Springs to benefit Beds Plus, a local charity which partners with churches to provide cold weather sheltering to the homeless using a committed volunteer staff, as well as providing counseling, healthcare and homelessness prevention programs. Goody bag will include a custom short sleeve tech tee.

KIDS DASH: FREE** No need to register- 1K FUN RUN FOR KIDS 9 AND UNDER WILL START AT 8:00 AM    **Donation of Ground Decaf or Regular coffee would be appreciated to support the upcoming shelter season.

FOR THE SAFETY OF PARTICIPANTS, BICYCLES, IN-LINE SKATES, SKATEBOARDS, SCOOTERS OR OTHER WHEELED VEHICLES (OTHER THAN WHEELCHAIRS) WILL BE NOT BE PERMITTED. Running Strollers may be used, but will be required to line up at the starting line following the runners. We love our furry friends but no pets please!

Walkers are welcome and encouraged to participate, but will be requested to start after those planning to run the course. Be advised, however, that the course marshalls will be monitoring intersections on the course based on a 16.5 minute per mile pace. Any participant who cannot walk at least a 16.5 minute per mile pace will be encouraged to complete the course on the sidewalk.

Packet Pick-up
Packet pick up is Thursday September 8,  4:00pm - 7:00pm, and Friday, September 9, 4:00pm - 7:00pm, at The Runner's Soul, 5 South La Grange Road, La Grange Illinois.  You must allow 24 hours from registration to pick up your bib. You will receive a confirmation, please print this to ensure you are registered.

Overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Male/Female will receive trophy and a gift certificate to The Runner's Soul.  All finishers will receive participant medal.
