Ribbons of Hope 5k
Description
Join us for an awesome and fun family friendly 5k run/walk event to celebrate Mother's Day on Saturday May 11th! All proceeds from this event are used to support our fundraising mission to support local charities in our community.
Due to the popularity of this event, we are offering wave start times at 9am and 10:30am.
In addition to supporting a great cause, this event will also be a great time and a great opportunity to score some awesome race swag!
And if you're not able to participate in the live event don't worry... we also have a virtual race and we'll ship your race gear at no additional charge and you can complete the run/walk virtually at any time and location that you choose!

Charity
This event is hosted by volunteers from the Lincoln-Way GFWC of Illinois. We are a not-for-profit organization that develops individual talents and provides an atmosphere to promote self-growth, broaden the interests of its members and to promote social, educational, civic and philanthropic projects for our community. Proceeds from this year's event will be used to assist the Lincoln-Way Marching Band as they work towards competing in the 2025 Rose Bowl Parade on a national stage! Please consider making an additional donation to support their mission, and thank you for participating in this event!

Course
The course route is a paved out and back route through the beautiful Hickory Creek Forest Preserve. This is a fast course and does include some minor hills and inclines but you're rewarded with awesome views through the preserve.

Virtual Race
Not able to attend the live event but still want to get involved? Sign up for the virtual 5k and we'll ship you your race swag and send you a link so you can complete your 5k any time and location that you want and post your results online (optional). The results page will be open for the entire month of May.
