Freedom Ride Animal Rescue 5k Fun Run & 1 Mile Walk & Wag

Please join us on Saturday, September 21st, 2024, for our 1st annual 5K Fun Run & 1 Mile Walk & Wag. Our 5K will start at 10am and our 1 Mile Walk & Wag will begin at 930am, race packets can be picked up on Race Day after 8am.  All Medal winners for their divisions will be given out after our 1 Mile Walk & Wag. Well behaved pets on leashes are welcome to come. Both races will start and finish at First Christian Church 514 N Sunny Ln, Monmouth, IL 61462. * Children 6 years old and under are free to participate in the 1 mile walk with a registered adult. 

There will be Medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in the 5K for Men, Women and 17 & Under Divisions. There will also be a prize for the 1st dog across the finish line.

5K Registration fee $25 before September 6th, 2024- to guarantee your t-shirt on race day. 

1Mile Registration fee $20 before September 6th, 2024- to guarantee your t-shirt on race day.

***New Addition to our Event: Do you want to help support our Rescue and participate in our event but live out of state or are busy? No Problem. We have decided to add a virtual portion to our 5K! Anyone interested in signing up registration will be open until 11:59pm on Friday September 13th, 2024. During your registration you will have the option to have a t shirt shipped to you which is included in the price or donate the cost of your t-shirt back to the rescue instead of us shipping you one. After you sign up you will have until Friday September 20th to submit your time to our email freedomrideanimalrescue@gmail.com and we will post the result on our Facebook page and website. We would ask that you include a link to your run on the app that you use or a photo of your time to complete. No medals will be awards for the Virtual 5K this year but we will email a certificate of competition with your time submitted.
