Rosalind Franklin University invites you to sign-up for the Colors of ICC Fun Run, a family friendly 5K run/walk where participants get sprinkled, splashed and sprayed with non-toxic color powder. The run is to benefit the Interprofessional Community Clinic (ICC), a student-led free clinic operated by volunteer health professionals and Rosalind Franklin University and DePaul University students. Since its opening, the ICC has provided care for more than six hundred Lake County citizens in dire need of health services. The clinic offers patient-centered primary care as well as specialty care in the areas of podiatric medicine, physical therapy, psychology and pharmacy counseling. In addition, the clinic is able to serve its patients by providing free vaccinations, lab services, glucometers, and diabetes education classes. The ICC, in partnership with Rosalind Franklin and the community, seeks to continue providing accessible quality healthcare for the under-served in an environment in which students, health professionals, patients and community members are able to learn from one another by working together.
The 2019 Colors of ICC Fun Run will take place on Saturday, September 7, on the beautiful Rosalind Franklin University Campus. The race will start at 11 am with registration opening at 9 am.
Each participant will receive a complimentary Colors of ICC Fun Run T-shirt and sunglasses. (Must register by August 21, to guarantee choice of shirt size)
After the completion of the run/walk awards will be given out for the first three runner to cross the finish line, as well as Best Costume/Head wear and Most colorful, voted on by the crowd. Also, Jimmy Johns of Lake Bluff will be out to provide free sandwich samples to race participants.
Make sure to check out the Colors of ICC Fun Run Store to purchase extra T-shirts or sunglasses for friends and family or to buy gear to wear on the day of the event. All proceeds from the store will go to the Interprofessional Community Clinic.
