8RUN5 Turns One! Community 5K

One year ago, a few people showed up for a run. Since then, 8RUN5 has grown into a community built on movement, connection, and showing up for one another.

To celebrate our first birthday, we're inviting everyone to join us for a free, untimed community 5K.

This isn't a race. There is no pressure, and no pace requirements. Just a morning to celebrate the friendships we've built, welcome new faces, and enjoy a run together.

If you've joined us every Tuesday or this is your very first 8RUN5 event, we're excited to have you.

Event Details

• Saturday, August 15, 2026
• Start & Finish: Jordan Block – 101 W Main Street, Ottawa, IL
• Check-In: 7:30 AM
• Run (or walk) Begins: 8:15 AM

What's Included

• Free, untimed 5K
• Open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities
• Water station at the halfway point
• Water and refreshments at the finish
• Music and a post-run socializing
• A special discount at Jeremiah Joe Coffee for registered participants after the event

Registration
Online registration is encouraged, but participants are also welcome to register on the morning of the event beginning at 7:30 AM.

All participants must sign an event waiver before participating.
