SRRC is super excited to announce that our annual 5K is moving to the former Trax 4 Jax course at Skydive Chicago before our family Celebration and Car Show for the Kids on June 2nd, 2019. This year, we are also donating a portion of our proceeds to Trax 4 Jax in honor of all the babies gone too soon.
Race check-in and same day registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. and the race will kick off at 9:30 a.m. Trophies will be given to the top male and female finishers and medals will be given for top three qualifiers of each age bracket. T-shirts will also be given to all preregistered participants. Children and strollers are welcome to participate in the 5K for free with paying participants, but t-shirts will only be given to those who register for the 5K or Kids Race.
The stroller friendly course will wind through portions of Skydive Chicago's vast acreage and will be followed by a kid's fun run....and MORE! Come for the race but stay for the fun! This year the end of the race marks the beginning of our 5th Annual Celebration. Celebration replaces the former Easter Seals Telethon with family fun for all. Food, music, inflatables, kid's activities, skydivers, and Car Show for the Kids presented by The Auto Inspector. Make it a family day with a 5K and fun!
Both the 5K and Celebration are events held every year to benefit children with special needs in LaSalle and Bureau Counties who require therapy and development services. Our mission is to help every child live, learn and play to their fullest potential and you can help us do that! Your participation will help raise our goal of $35,000 for the kids. Because of your help last year, we have been able to expand our services and add occupational therapy to the list of growing options for the children in our area.
We look forward to having you join us on this run. If you have any questions, please contact us at 815-434-0857 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
