Fun Fridays Market 5K

Description

Runner's Image is happy to present this brand new summer race series. Designed to be family and budget friendly and a throwback to simpler times when you drew a start and finish line and raced against each other just for the fun of it. The Fun Fridays Market 5K will be a 3-race series held at 6 p.m. on the second Friday evening of June, July and August. Come to the race, stay for the market!

Hurry and preregister for the 3-race series for just $27 and get a custom T-shirt or preregister for each race individually not including the shirt for $9 each. Each race will be timed and race results including time and place will be posted the week after the race. There will be no awards—just “old school” bragging rights!

The Fun Fridays 5K course starts and finishes in Davis Park and utilizes the paved recreation path south of the Fordham Dam. Participants will see some of Rockford’s largest downtown projects—the Morgan Street Bridge (completed), the Amerock Hotel Project (under construction) and the Barber-Colman Complex (future development). Preregistration fees will be divided equally between The City Market, St. Elizabeth Community Center and Runner’s Image.

Late Registration Packet Pick-up

Late registration and packet pick-up will be at Runner's Image for all three races starting the Wednesday before the race during normal store hours. On race day, registration and packet pick-up will be at the store until 5 PM and then at the race start/finish area in Davis Park from 5:30-6:00 PM. Late registration for the 3-race series will be $30 and individual races will be $10 cash only!
