Hello movers and shakers, Spring is in the air!

We have a new plan for our Runner’s Image Spring Training Program.

We still cannot meet in person safely but, we want you to keep moving. We have created this plan to help encourage you to keep moving as an individual and as a group…on paper.

We hope that you are able to join us in participating in this NEW, low cost program. This 12 week program is designed to safely encourage walkers and runners of all levels to start or continue actively training through this upcoming 3 month period, March thru May. Although our main goal is to keep you active, you should be ready to complete a half-marathon by the end of the 12 week program.

This virtual program is loosely based off of the Spring Half Marathon Training Programs that we have used in recent years but, without breaking out into pace groups. As a result, you will have far more flexibility to choose the pace of your workouts and also what time of day you complete them. You will be encouraged to meet minimal weekly mileage goals and self-report your totals to be included in 12 weekly drawings for some extra incentive prizes.

We are keeping the mileage goals at basic minimum levels but, hope that if you are already training at a higher level, you will strive to challenge yourself along the way using more advanced programs.

Sign-up is easy! Just complete the entry form choosing either the Walking or Running option and also the Shirt ($30) or No Shirt ($10) option. Please also consider making a small donation to the two very worthy non-profits that we continue to support. They are the Gold Star Mission and Winnebago County CASA. Any amount is greatly appreciated!
