Frequently Asked Questions

1- What is the inspiration behind Color me Holi Run?

Holi is a popular Indian festival celebrated across the globe, also known as the Festival of Colors. It celebrates the triumph of good over evil and the changing of the seasons from winter to spring. It is remarkably different from any other celebration as it involves color play with mesmerizing hues of vibrant colors! Even though the original festival involves water play also, we are sticking to non toxic dry color. We are integrating the enthusiasm and care free vibe of Holi with a 5K run!

2- Is this run being organized to benefit a charity?

Yes. This year we are supporting the Springfield chapter of ‘Share the Spirit foundation, Inc.’. They are a volunteer based 501(c)3 non-profit established in 2003 with a mission to provide new shoes and socks to underserved children. Co-founded by Tonya Voepel of Springfiled, Share the spirit Inc. has provided 20,414 pair of new shoes to children in need since it’s inception. Net proceeds from Color Me Holi will be used in the Springfield area. To learn more about this organization please click - https://www.sharethespirit.info

Anyone and everyone! The Color Me Holi 5K Run/Walk is for experienced runners, casual runners, run/walkers, only walkers and even for those who prefer to only hop along the course! All age groups are welcome! This is a fun and happy event meant to be enjoyed as a family!
