Join the Springfield Junior League and walk or run 45 miles in October to support our mission of addressing food insecurity in the Springfield, IL community. This virtual event encourages you to get moving at least 1.5 miles per day for the entire month of October, in doing so you will travel virtually roughly the distance across Sangamon county!
NEW THIS YEAR! 45 miles just not enough for you? For our more intense runners and walkers we challenge you to go out and back through the corn, over the Sangamon river, and past the Capitol for 90 miles of challenge. Participants will receive the same swag as the 45 mile challenge participants plus a special 90 mile specific bonus item!
The Junior League of Springfield (JLS), a 75-year-old local service organization, adopted an Issue Based Community Impact model in 2014 in order to better strengthen the skills of members and create more community impact. Since establishing “food insecurity” as their focus area, JLS has committed over 200 hours of service toward this issue.
YOU MUST BE ONE OF THE FIRST 125 REGISTERED TO RECEIVE SWAG!
Packet/swag pickup is currently planned to be a live drive through event, on October 14th at the Junior League Headquarters 2800 Montvale Dr. Specific information will be sent out to those who register!

How do we track mileage/distance?
RunSignup is now offering options for challenge participants to track mileage through the race website. When you click on results you will be able to enter your own personal results into the system. We are tracking on the honor system, the hope is that this will be a personal challenge for you to accomplish, no fibbing!
What if I can't pick up my swag item in person or the pick up day/time doesn't work for me?
We are encouraging as many folks as possible to pick up their race packets and swag on our packet pick up day (currently being determined). However, we understand that it may not work for everyone. Once the date is determined we will work with folks on a case by case basis to get them their items. Some options we will have include having a friend pick up the items on that day, setting up a day or time that works better for that person, or if absolutely necessary we will hand deliver or mail it for you.
