Description
Plan To Get Your Bodies Revved Up on Sunday September 29th for the third annual Route 66 5K Foot Race!
You'll earn cool swag (medal, Tshirt and more) and have an iconic experience running on the streets with the classic cars in the show.
We are teaming up with the producers of the Route 66 Mother Road Festival the weekend of September 27-29th in downtown Springfield to produce the Route 66 5K Foot Race.
Packet pickup is on race day, September 29, from 6:30am to 7:20am.

Thanks for signing up! This is our first year for this event and we are excited! We are going to run around and through the Mother Road Festival area in a 1.03 mile loop and have a one of a kind experience in road running.
Schedule Sunday Morning, Sept 29th:
Packet Pickup 6:15 am to 7:15 am - at Washington & 6th Street near the start/finish line (see map below). Look for the tall Checkered Flag Banner we are using for the start finish line.
Start of the race: 7:30 am for the 5K and the 1 Mile Walk.
Award Ceremony: 8:40am (location to be determined but most likely near the start/finish line)
AWARDS: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place Overall Awards for Male and Female finishers. Plus we'll have both Male and Female 10 year brackets 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place Age Bracket Awards.

ROUTE
We will have the route marked with orange safety cones and cones with turn arrows at all the corners. It will be easy to navigate and stay on course.
The race is chipped time and each time you run through the start/finish line your time will be captured. For you runners who like to measure your splits this is a good race for you. See route map below.
A water station will be at the start/finish line. It wil be grab and go 8oz water bottles. We'll place a couple of cans down the route for disposal. Please put your empty bottles in the cans.
Post race snacks will be available near the finish line.
Parking is outside the blocked Festival area. You can park on the street around the festival area except where it says no parking and do not put money in the meters. We aren't required to pay the meters on weekends.
Porta potties will be available on E. Washington St.
Everyone earns a finisher medal on this event.
