Hops for Hope has gone Virtual

Anywhere you like since it is a virtual 5K!
Any town!, IL US 00000

Hops for Hope 5K is STILL a twist on the traditional 5K! What could that twist be? It is still craft beer like previous years but we are proud to announce we are the ONLY virtual 5K to give participants a Beer Stop 6 Pack! You heard that right! The first 400 registrations will receive a 6 pack with 1 can of beer from each Featured Brewery that would normally be on the course. You get to choose when and how you drink the beer (please maintain local laws and do not drink while running - this is illegal).

PLUS! All participants will be able to attend BrewDays the week of the 5K. Each brewery will have their own BrewDay where all Hops for Hope 5K participants can head over and enjoy discounted beer ($4 only!!) See below for the BrewDay schedule.

We will have a Virtual Awards Ceremony on Facebook Live Sunday, October 11th and we will also have our annual Adaptive Bike Giveaway.

*You must finish your run by 12 pm October 11th for us to mention you during the awards

**To receive the Beer Stop 6 Pack you must be 21 years or older and show a valid ID at Packet Pick-Up. We are not able to ship Beer Stop 6 Pack, they must be picked up at Packet Pick-Up. No exceptions.

What is a virtual 5K?

Due to current restrictions regarding large gatherings (50 people or less) we are not able to host the event (trust us we really did try!) Participants can run/walk whenever and wherever between the week of October 3rd - October 11th.

Participants have the flexibility to support our cause while participating in the event remotely at your own time, pace and even place. It is a win- win, since participants can choose the day, the weather and the route while raising money and having some fun along the way. You can choose to run outside by yourself or in a small socially distant group or you can run inside on a treadmill! The options are endless this year.

Virtual races also allow people from all over to participate, not just the Chicagoland area like previous years.

Proceeds benefit Project Mobility's mission to bring adaptive cycling opportunities to the lives of children, adults, and wounded service members with emotional and physical challenges.

Our 3 largest fundraisers we host throughout the year have either been postponed, changed to virtual or canceled. Everything we do at Project Mobility relies HEAVILY on these events.

Please register today for the Virtual Hops for Hope 5K!

*Please maintain social distancing while running/walking and maintain local laws

Invite your friends to join you at the Hops for Hope 5k. If you get 5 friends to sign up using your special referral link, you will receive a refund of up to $15.00 as our Thank You!  Your referral link will be in your confirmation email.

Beer Stop 6 Pack

First 400 registrations will receive a Beer Stop 6 Pack! We know our participants love their craft beer so we made sure to give you craft beer! Each Featured Brewery that would normally be on the course passing out samples have donated 1 beer to go inside each Beer Stop 6 Pack. You will receive your 6 pack at Packet Pick-Up and you can enjoy it whenever and wherever.

If you have registered for the 5K prior to 8/7 only registrations for the 5K with Beer Stops will receive the Beer Stop 6 Pack. If you registered for the 5K with no Beer Stops you do not qualify for the Beer Stop 6 Pack. If you would like to upgrade your registration to receive it, it is first come first serve.

Act fast! We see the Beer Stop 6 Packs going quick!

With your registration for the Virtual Hops for Hope 5K you get access to BrewDay. Each Featured Brewery will have a day (during the week of the Virtual 5K) for participants to come in and get DISCOUNTED BEER(S).

Due to COVID-19 many local small businesses have taken a huge hit. Please support our local breweries (who have donated so much to Project Mobility/Hops for Hope 5K) and have a few DISCOUNTED BEERS at each Featured Brewery.

GREAT IDEA! Start your 5K from the parking lot of the brewery on their BrewDay and head in to enjoy a cold brew.!

Few things to remember! All you have to do is show your Hops for Hope 5K bib to receive the discount.

Yes, you can attend EVERY BrewDay and we hope you do! How else would you sample each Featured Brewery of Hops for Hope 5K?

You might be wondering why are you only receiving a discount on the beers at BrewDay, but please remember these breweries donated beer to go in the Beer Stop 6 Pack.

Remember if you register for the Virtual Hops for Hope 5K you get to attend ANY and ALL the BrewDays you would like!

Who is Project Mobility

Project Mobility is the nonprofit 501(c)3 organization of The Bike Rack in St. Charles. Our mission is to provide the freedom of mobility to children, adults and wounded soldiers with disabilities through adaptive cycling.  2019 had been a year of tremendous growth for Project Mobility. We are proud to announce that we gave 14 adaptive bikes to children and adults with disabilities.

Our Crew provided over 40 adaptive bike days with many different disability organizations, hospitals, and schools. We were able to give the freedom of mobility to many amazing people! Here are a few stories.

Junior: A father who ended up in a wheelchair from getting shot protecting his daughter.|

Avery: A child with such a rare gene mutation only 4.5 people out of 10 million world-wide have it.

Tynan: A child that was almost 5 years old that underwent an anatomical left hemispherectomy, in which surgeons removed the left side of his brain.

For 2020 we want to top those numbers and need your help!
Hops for Hope 5K will help us reach their goal by starting the year off right!
