March 12th, we communicated out that we were waiting until next week to follow what IU decided to do with their students. Shortly after that e-mail, Governor Holcomb released a statement to suspend any non essential gathering of greater than 250 people anywhere in the state. Between runners and volunteers, our event brings over 2000 people together each year so we would definitely fall into that category. The official release can be found here. LINK
In the spirit of following the Governor's directive we have no choice but to cancel the event as it is normally run. We are providing you 3 options to choose from. Please choose one of the 3 options below in the next week. (By 3/20). At that point we will shut down the registration site and place orders for the shirts and medals. If you choose the virtual race option, you will have until April 18th to do your virtual race and send us the results. We will then mail you the items.
Additional race information can be found at http://hoosierhalf.com.
