Zombies have taken over Evansville! Join the first annual Evansville Zombie 5k Run & Walk.

Are you ready for the most exhilarating, heart-pounding, and adrenaline-fueled event of the year? Brace yourself for "Survive the Zombie Apocalypse, an unforgettable experience that combines running, survival skills, and a dash of fear to support a great cause!
The Mission:
The world is on the brink of chaos, and the only hope lies within the Red Cross headquarters. Embark on a daring journey through a park infested with zombies. Your goal: reach the Red Cross outpost, secure the cure, and make it back to headquarters before it's too late!
The Challenge:
As you navigate through the treacherous terrain, zombies will be hot on your heels, trying to tag the back of your shirt with fake blood. Your survival instincts will be put to the test as you dodge, and duck your way through this relentless horde. Will you emerge unscathed and save humanity, or become a zombie's next meal?

The thrills and chills aren't over once you've outrun the zombies! Stick around after the race to join us at Wesselman Park for an unforgettable Halloween Festival like no other:
- Meet a Paranormal Investigation Team: Ever been curious about the supernatural? Here's your chance! Chat with real paranormal investigators and learn about their spine-tingling experiences in the ghostly realms.
- Get a Psychic Reading: What does the future hold for you? Find out with a psychic reading. Gain insights into your destiny and maybe even uncover some unexpected surprises.
- Take a Ride on the Party Time Peddlers: Hop aboard the Party Time Peddlers, the ultimate mobile party experience! It's a pedal-powered vehicle that combines fitness and fun as you cruise through the park with your fellow survivors.
- Enjoy a Haunted Trail Walk: If you dare, venture into the haunted trail. But beware of what lurks in the darkness! It's a spooky journey filled with surprises and scares that will send shivers down your spine.
- Plus, don't forget to indulge in some delicious Halloween treats.

We are proud to announce our partnership with the Red Cross for this event. Give blood on Oct 19th. Partial proceeds will go toward Wesselman Woods.

Start at Wesselman Nature center
Loop around and head toward the bike trail
Take the trail into the open parking lot
Turn behind the Army Reserve and run toward the Armory
Take the Gravel path toward the bridge
Cross the bridge to the Eykamp Scout Center
Meet with the Red Cross and run back
Look for the flags along the way if you get lost.
