5K Run

8:00AM CST

Description

Welcome to the annual tradition of the Fifth Third Bank Turkey Day 5K in Evansville! For the 34th year, this family tradition will kick off the giving season by supporting Evansville Goodwill and their mission to help people, families, and communities thrive through the power of relationships, education, and work. Run or walk in the event in Downtown Evansville along the Ohio River on Thanksgiving morning to work up your Thanksgiving Day appetite and support a brighter future for the tri-state community.

This year’s event supports Evansville Goodwill’s The Excel Center®, a free adult high school, that will offer a Core 40 high school diploma. The program will impact more than 14,000 individuals in Vanderburgh County who lack a high school diploma and work to break the cycle of poverty. Set to open in August of 2024 at the former Sear’s building in the Washington Square Mall, the program will offer drop-in childcare for students, transportation assistance, industry-recognized
certifications, and/or college credits all at no cost.

Our future home at The Washington Square Mall will also host the Evansville Goodwill Opportunity Center which aims to increase accessibility to essential resources such as healthcare and housing assistance, job training, expungement services, digital skills training, and more. The center will serve as a one-stop shop, hosting different organizations across the community in one location.

By participating in this year’s Turkey Day 5K you are helping us create a brighter future for the Evansville area!
