Get ready for a thrilling evening of running under the lights at Floyd Central High School! The Night Raid 5K & Fun Run brings together runners of all ages for a unique nighttime race experience that combines community, challenge, and high-energy atmosphere.
The night kicks off with the Fun Run, an 800-meter race on the track starting at 8:30 PM. This event is perfect for kids, families, and young runners who want to experience the excitement of racing inside the stadium.
At 9:00 PM, the spotlight turns to the Night Raid 5K. The race begins on Edwardsville-Galena Road beside the Floyd Central Athletic Complex, sending runners up a slight hill toward the school. From there, participants will complete two laps around Floyd Central’s campus, taking in the course under the night sky before heading back toward the stadium. The race finishes in unforgettable fashion as runners enter the stadium and cross the finish line on the track under the lights.
Whether you’re chasing a PR, enjoying a summer night run, or cheering on friends and family, the Night Raid offers an electric race atmosphere you won’t want to miss.

7:30-8:30 pm Packet Pickup & Late Registration
8:30 pm Fun Run (Meet on the track and runners will receive directions)
9:00 pm National Anthem and Race Start!
9:45 pm Awards Ceremony
Results and Awards are live and available at the registration tent immediately after you finish if you do not want to stay for the awards ceremony.

Packet Pickup
Packet Pickup will be at Floyd Central's Track on Thursday from 5 pm-7 pm.
Can I pick up for a friend?
YES!
Is Pickup Still available on race day?
YES! Race day pickup and registration will be available from 7:30-8:30 pm, but please arrive early as pickup lines can be long on race day
FAQ's
Are strollers allowed?
You are welcome to use a stroller for this event. Children in strollers can participate for free and do not need to register.
Is walking allowed?
Yes absolutely! We have many walkers, joggers, and run/walkers at this event!
