1st and 2nd place men/women/kids will all get prizes!

This will be the fourth annual Rebecca's Run. We do this run to not only remember Rebecca Taylor, but to also remember ALL of the lives lost to fentanyl overdose/death.

As many of you know, Becca suffered from addiction for many years. Thankfully she became clean in the fall of 2019 and we spent some of our best months together. We will always have those happy memories.

According to the Department of Health, "fentanyl was involved in 90% of all deaths involving opioids. Fentanyl is a highly potent synthetic opioid. A dose as small as three grains of rice can be lethal. Fentanyl is becoming more common in illicit drugs, even laced in other drugs like cocaine or methamphetamine."

Provisional data from CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics indicate there were an estimated 107,622 drug overdose deaths in the United States during 2021, an increase of nearly 15% from the 93,655 deaths estimated in 2020.

DRUG TYPE -- Synthetic Opioids (Fentanyl)
(DEATHS 2021) -- 71, 238
(DEATHS 2020) -- 57,834

Our goal is to help people in addiction, people in recovery, and family members of those in addiction. To do this we will continue to raise money in Rebecca Taylor's name and donate it to different organizations.

This year, we are going to donate the money to Image of Hope Ranch. https://www.imageofhoperanch.com/

Image of Hope Ranch "provides a sanctuary for individuals and families to heal by experiencing animals, nature, and the love of Jesus."

I am excited to donate to Image of Hope Ranch because not only does it help individuals dealing with emotional distress, it also helps with individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities! Like Ollie!

Below are the different types of mentoring programs the Image of Hope Ranch provides.
