In Memory of Nancy Rubino

A fun way to continue a mission.  Register today ... then join us on Race Day and enjoy a morning with a mission!!!  By participating in our 5K event, you will help us raise money to cover the costs of the medical emergencies that arise whenever we take in surrendered and abandon pets.  So, whether you choose to make it a quick competitive RUN or a leisurely noncompetitive WALK ... we thank you and look forward to meeting you ... and your pets!!!

• Who is Nancy Rubino? - The Rubinos were 1 of 4 couples who saw a need for an animal rescue in Hancock County and founded P.A.W.S. 25 years ago. Nancy was the heart and soul of the organization, holding key roles including Executive Director, rescuing, fostering, adopting out animals, office management, grant writing, promoting animal welfare and responsible ownership, and starting an affordable spay/neuter transport program to help reduce pet over-population in Hancock County. Nancy's husband, Mike, promised to keep P.A.W.S. going after her death in 2019.  This event is to honor Nancy and to continue her mission. Times:

• Register/Check-in: 7:30-8:30am
• Line-Up: 8:40-8:50am (Runners in Front, Walkers in Back)
• Race Start Time: 9:00am
• Race End Time: 11:30am

Timekeeping

Volunteers will unofficially track times with stopwatches.

Medals, Prizes, Snacks & Drinks

• PARTICIPANTS:  Will receive a PAW PRINT Medal; a Race Souvenir; Snacks & Water
• PETS: Will receive a Bandana or Bow Tie; Snacks & Water
• 9 WINNERS:  The first 3 Men, Women & Pets to cross the finish line will receive a Gold, Silver or Bronze Medal & Prizes

Prices

• $35 per person before 5/1 - Each person is allowed to bring 1 pet free of charge.  Additional pets are $10 each.
• $45 per person after 5/1 or in-person on race day (May 17th) - Each person is allowed to bring 1 pet free of charge. Additional pets are $10 each.

• Who is P.A.W.S? - P.A.W.S. is an Indiana not-for-profit corporation in Hancock County. Our programs are funded completely from donations, grants and fundraising events. With the exception of the cats at the PetSmart Adoption Center in Greenfield and our Cattery, all of our rescues are in foster homes.
