*We made a few changes to the lengths and added some suggested times for each race. In order to keep things moving and stay close to our suggested start times we would appreciate it if coaches entered runners in the race that best suits their abilities.
**If we can move ahead of the schedule above, we will.
Course: Run on the grounds of Hebron High School- all grass. The “A” course will be run on a 1500 meter loop. The “Open” course will be run on a 1000 meter loop. The race is meant to be a fun way to do an interval workout in the pre-season.
Format: Boys and girls teams will be broken into pairs. Each pair counts as one runner. Scoring will be based on the top three (3) pairs' finish from each team. Low score wins. Teams can place unlimited pairs in the “A” races.
● Runner #1 will run the course, hand baton off to runner #2, and so forth until each member of the pair has run twice.
● There will be an “exchange zone” for baton exchanges.
● ***Coaches will be responsible for helping to keep order in the exchange “corral.” Coaches will need to have runners ready for exchanges as well as keep runners out of the area if they are not involved in an exchange. This area tends to be a gathering/ cheering area and it could get messy if we don’t limit the people in the area.
● We will be utilizing Tempo Time Running to for our timing and scoring. They will be using an automated timing system with bibs.
● If a team has an odd number of participants, we can "co-op" with other schools to make pairs. While these pairs do not figure into the team scoring, they do qualify for individual medals or ribbons. Hopefully everyone will have a partner and will get to compete as a pair. In the event that a partner cannot be found for a runner, we can partner up co-ed if needed.
● Teams will need to furnish their own batons
