The Groundhog 7, hosted by Indy Runners, is an annual tradition where runners and walkers emerge from their winter routines and come together for a 7- or 5-mile run through Zionsville. The cost of admission for this virtual race: non-perishable items for the Zionsville Food Pantry.
In 2021, the Groundhog will look a little different. Phil may see his shadow, but he won't see hundreds of runners lining up outside Zionsville Middle School. Instead, he'll see individuals and small groups scattered around Central Indiana running or walking their own (virtual) 7- or 5-mile routes between Saturday, January 30 and Sunday, February 7, 2021. This event continues to be free and open to all ages.
There are not finisher medals or race packets for this event. Simply plot your course and go... and, if you're really in the Groundhog Day spirit, go again the next day... and the next... and the next. One word of caution from Ned: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrYe-ezyegY
Donations for the Zionsville Food Pantry can be made during registration.
