Get Ready for Nancy’s Ride 2026!
Join Freewheelin’ Community Bikes for our signature event, Nancy’s Ride, on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
Located at 34th and Central Avenue in the heart of Mapleton Fall Creek, this inclusive, community-focused ride supports our mission to connect youth with life skills through a shared passion for bicycles.
Double Your Impact: Help Us Reach $20,000
Thanks to a benevolent donor, every dollar you give is being matched! Your registration and donations help us reach our $20,000 goal to keep our youth programs rolling.
How your support makes a difference:
$50: Provides a safety helmet for an Earn-A-Bike student.
$90: Funds a full Safety Package (Light, Lock, and Helmet).
$292: Sponsors a complete Earn-A-Bike class for one child.
Choose Your Adventure!
All routes start and finish at Tabernacle Presbyterian Church, right across from the Freewheelin’ shop. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or a family looking for a weekend outing, we have a path for you:
The Destination Ride (10k): A family-oriented route featuring unique local attractions and kid-friendly stops.
The Distance Ride (30k): A scenic route designed for those looking to explore the best of Indy and its surrounding areas.
More Than Just a Ride.
Stay for the party! The Tabernacle parking lot will be buzzing with:
Family Fun: Bicycle obstacle courses and activities for the kids.
Support: Mechanical checks to keep your gear in top shape.
Fuel: Plenty of snacks, beverages, and a full lunch provided for participants.
Can we count on you to join the fun?
Whether you register to ride, volunteer your time, or make a donation, you are making a direct impact on the lives of young cyclists in our community.
About Nancy
Nancy Stimson was a youth pastor who believed in the worth and gifts of each individual to enrich the world. She was also a passionate cyclist. She founded Freewheelin' in 2009 to share practical and intangible life skills with youth. Nancy believed that by teaching youth how to maintain, repair, and ride bicycles, we would help promote great citizens of the Indianapolis community. We all strive to "be like Nancy."
