The Christmas 5K

New for 2017, the Christmas 5k has moved to Fort Harrison!

Don’t miss out on what has become a Christmas Tradition for many – hundreds of runners with Santa hats running through the historic, beautiful Fort Harrison State Park. Claim your spot now as we expect this race to close – don’t procrastinate!

Be sure to bring a wrapped running-themed gift (approx. $15-$20 value) to participate in the Yankee swap after awards.

Our Christmas gift to you is a PR – even though this is considered a hilly, measured 5000 meter course, and we expect perfect weather for this professionally chip time event.

We will have hot cocoa and Christmas cookies after the race. Santa hats for everyone! DJ will be spinning Christmas music. Skinny Santa will be handing out awards!

We will have custom finisher medals for the first 200 athletes registered (anyone else will receive semi-custom medals), so register early!  This race will sell out!

Event details and schedule
 

Remember, this is central Indiana, and it is Christmas Day.  Plan for any type of weather, allow extra time to arrive at the park, should there be snow, and remember, most of the park employees are at home with their families - in the event of snow, park roads, parking lots or trails may not be plowed.  Plan ahead, the race will start at 3:00PM, rain, shine or snow.

1/1/17 - 6/30/17 - $20 (plus shirt)
7/1/17-7/31/17 - $15  (plus shirt)(Christmas in July)
8/1/17-12/17/2015 – $25  (plus shirt)
12/18/1017-12/25/2017 – $30 (No shirt option)

The deadline to register to guarantee you get a shirt is Sunday, December 14th, 2017 at 9:00PM. These are high-quality, long-sleeve, tech-fabric t-shirts with an awesome design – please register early to guarantee a shirt!

Race Day: We will be onsite by 1:30pm for packet and chip pickup, as well as race day registration. To ensure we can start the race on time, please plan to be onsite at least an hour prior to race to pick up your timing chip. Please note, we may not be able to allow registrations within 30 minutes of the race starting, or check in within 15 minutes of the race start. Check-in will be near the start line.

Parking: The park has ample parking available. Should the parking become full, you will be directed where to park.
