LEDF Turkey Trot 2021

The La Porte Educational Development Foundation is a community volunteer organization that provides classroom grants to teachers in the La Porte Community School Corporation.  Our mission is to "Energize Education."

The 8th Annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot 5K Run and Walk benefits the mission of the LaPorte Educational Development Foundation.  Each year the La Porte Turkey Trot keeps growing.  We look forward to our biggest event this year!  

This year every participant, walkers, runners, joggers, sprinters, children, grandmothers, and everyone in between gets a shirt while supplies last, and they are going to be awesome.  Sign up early to guarantee a shirt is reserved for you!  We will be working on packet pick up plans to expedite day of lines!

Start times will be staggered in an effort to social distance participants and provide a safe environment.  If needed, we will work closely with the timing company to provide additional staggered starts for the 5K - ensuring all runners start within 15 minutes of the official Run Start.  Registration may be capped - so sign up today!

The Run will begin at 8:00 am and the Walk at 8:15 am.  Race day registration begins at 7:15 a.m.  Registration and the start of the Run and Walk takes place in front of the LaPorte YMCA (901 Michigan Avenue, LaPorte, Indiana 46350).  The route for the Run and Walk begins at the YMCA and heads south down Michigan Avenue through Beechwood Golf Course and finishes one block north of the YMCA on Michigan Avenue.
