La Porte's Cal Ripken Travel Teams 5K and Fun Run

Proceeds for this run benefit the City of La Porte Park and Recreation Department's Cal Ripken travel teams.  All members of the travel teams are also participants in the Department's recreational youth baseball leagues.  The entry fee is $20 (13 and older) $5 (12 yrs and under with an adult registration - individuals wishing to use this discount must call the park office at 219-326-9600 to register) or $10 per child (without adult registration) through May 19 or $25 (13 and older) $5 (12 and under w/adult registration) or $10 per child (without adult registration) day of the event.  The event fee includes a commemorative baseball, race number and post-race snack.  Day-of-race registration and pre-registration packet pick-up will be from 7:30 a.m.-8:45 a.m. at the Kesling Park Shelter #4 (second shelter on the right).  Awards presented to top overall male and female finishers.  Medals presented to top male and female finishers in the following age groups:  8 and under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-and-older.  Course begins and ends in the Shelter #4 area.  Water stations provided on course.  Restrooms available.
