Chemo Buddies HOPEFEST 2025: A Celebration of Strength and Community
Join us for the 7th annual Chemo Buddies HOPEFEST, presented by Ascension St. Vincent Hospital, on April 26, 2025, at Friedman Park in Newburgh. This heartwarming community event is dedicated to all those touched by cancer—survivors, patients, caregivers, family, friends, and co-workers.
Event Highlights:
5K Run/Walk: Start the day off right with a 5K through the scenic park, beginning at 9:00 am.
Survivor’s Parade: Celebrate our cancer warriors in the signature Survivor's Parade, starting at 10:30 am.
1-Mile Walk: Continue the celebration with a fun 1-mile walk, starting at 11:00 am.
Cruise-In Car Show: Enjoy some cool cars and great company.
Food Trucks: Treat your taste buds to a variety of delicious options.
Self-Care Tent: Relax and unwind with self-care treatments for caregivers, patients, and survivors.
Kids Activities: Face painting, inflatables, and more for the younger attendees!
This event promises to be a day full of joy, encouragement, and support. Whether you’re walking, cheering, or simply enjoying the festivities, it’s an opportunity to connect, celebrate, and lift each other up in the fight against cancer.
Please note: The event is rain or shine. There are no refunds. Shirts, medals, and other swag are available only as supplies last. Please register before April 1 to ensure you will receive these items! Those who register after April 1 can check at the registration table on event day for availability!
T-Shirts and medals
All registrations for the 5K, 1-mile walk, and Survivor’s Parade will receive a short-sleeved cotton t-shirt!
Finishing medals will be given to the ALL SURVIVORS.
All registrations on or before April 1, 2024, will be guaranteed a T-shirt. Those who register after April 1 can check at registration the day of the event for t-shirt availability.
Can I Walk the 5K?
Yes, just no pets, please!
Do I need to register my child?
Ages 3 and under are free to participate.
Awards
Awards: Overall Male/Female will receive $100 cash prize
Age groups Top 3 Male / Top 3 Female will receive placement awards
13 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, 90+
Before Event Packet Pickup - at our office 3700 Bellemeade Ave Suite 118
Packet pickup will begin on Tuesday, April 22 continue until Thursday, April 24h during office hours 9AM-3PM. NO PICK UP ON FRIDAY APRIL 26TH! See below for race day pick-up.
PLEASE TRY TO PICK UP BEFORE THE DAY OF EVENT!
Registration Check-In on Event Day
If you did not pick up your race packet in advance, please check in at the registration tables before the start times. The registration table will be located near the race start area. 5K check-in will begin at 8:15AM and end at 8:50AM. 1-mile walkers and Survivor’s Parade must check-in/register by 10:00AM
