Heartland Endurance Sports has once again teamed up with Autism Speaks to host a run, in Noblesville on July 3rd, 2016. This chip-timed, USA Track & Field Sanctioned run will take place at Promise Road Elementary, and will include a 5K, and a 10K option, plus a 2.5 kilometer youth run and fun walk. All athletes will receive a dry-blend t-shirt, custom race bib, and a finisher’s medal. Proceeds from this event will go to benefit Autism Speaks.

Did you know …
Autism now affects 1 in 68 children and 1 in 42 boys
Autism prevalence figures are growing
Autism is the fastest-growing serious developmental disability in the U.S.
Autism costs a family $60,000 a year on average
Autism receives less than 5% of the research funding of many less prevalent childhood diseases
Boys are nearly five times more likely than girls to have autism
There is no medical detection or cure for autism

The proceeds of this race will benefit Autism Speaks, and their efforts for awareness, fundraising, science, and advocacy for those with Autism.

Autism Speaks was founded in February 2005 by Bob and Suzanne Wright, grandparents of a child with autism. Their longtime friend Bernie Marcus donated $25 million to help financially launch the organization. Since then, Autism Speaks has grown into the world’s leading autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.

Race Day: We will be onsite by 7:00am for packet and chip pickup, as well as race day registration. To ensure we can start the race on time, please plan to be onsite at least an hour prior to race to pick up your timing chip. Please note, we may not be able to allow registrations within 45 minutes of the race starting, or check in within 30 minutes of the race start. Check-in will be at the blue tent near the finish line.

Parking: The school has ample parking available.  Please plan to enter the school at the south entrance, and park in the rear parking lot of the school.  Volunteers and vendors can utilize the front parking lot, but no athletes will be permitted to park, enter, drive through or drop off at the front of the school.  Please fill the rear parking lot before utilizing the south drive for parking.  Should the parking become full, you will be directed where to park, which may involve parking in the grass field adjacent to the rear parking lot, weather permitting.
