Description
You won't want to miss this twist on a typical race. It will be fun and challenging for everyone. Run it. Jog it. Walk it. Do it individually, with friends or as a family group - be as competitive as you like!
What is the twist?
There will be checkpoints to visit on this course. The location of the checkpoints will be identified on a map given to you at the start. But the route between the checkpoints is unmarked. It is up to you to determine the fastest route between the checkpoints. The fastest route may not be the shortest. As a result, the distance depends on the route choices you make, so the expected winning distance will be about 8.0K (or about 4.0K for the shorter course).
The course will be on paved paths, paved trails, roads, sidewalks, grass fields, and, if you think it is the fastest route, then maybe through some woods.
This is a fundraiser for the U20 orienteers involved in the Junior National Program. There are 40 juniors in the program in the US and 2 of those are in Indiana.
$25 for adults; $15 for those 13-18 years old; $5 for those 7-12 years old; and free for those 0-6 years old
Net proceeds will help the juniors fund travel to training camps, attend the junior team trials, and cover expenses associated with the Junior World Orienteering Championships in Romania in July 2023. 10:00 am - Registration packet pick-up begins
10:40 pm - Pre-race informational meeting for all participants
11:00 pm - Mass start
Everyone will get to keep the map they used for the race. Each year the course will be different from all previous Twisted Runs.

SportIdent information
We will be using SportIdent (SI-Card) as the timing device for the Twisted Run.
If you don't have an SI-Card, then no worries, we will loan you one.
If you have an SI-Card and plan to use it for the Twisted Run, then use the Question button to send the registrar your name and SI-Card number
Day of Race Registration
You will be able to register on the day of the race. The cost will be $30 for either the 6K or the 3K.
Run with a Friend
Running with a friend or two is a great way to experience the Twisted Run. If you plan to do this, then first, register; second, click the Questions? button; third notify the registrar of the names of the people in your group.
Kids under 12 are advised to run with a parent for at least the first 3 checkpoints until they get comfortable navigating with a map.
