Get ready to hit the pavement for a great cause! Portage FOP 145 is excited to host our Second Annual 5K Run/Walk on Sundau, October 4th, at 8:00 a.m. – and we want YOU to be part of it!
This isn’t just a race—it’s an opportunity to support our community! Proceeds from this event will benefit our annual "Cops For Kids" program, helping bring holiday joy to local children, "Portage FOP Car Cruise and Show", "Portage FOP Golf Outings", as well as other future community initiatives led by Portage FOP 145.

Last year was our first year organizing a run, and to be honest, it was alot more challenging than we anticipated. We asked for your input and thoughts about what we could do better next time to improve the quality of the race. There were 2 things that almost everyone asked for and we've made those changes. First, there will be FREE snacks and drinks prior to the race. Secondly, while there will still be officers helping you navigate safetly thorough the run, we've added signs to help your race stay along the right path.
We know there will always be room for improvemet, which is why we are asking you to reach out to us and tell us you thoughts. Please feel free to e-mail the race director about any questions, comments, or concerns you might have. You can find his contact information at the bottom of the page.
We hope to continue to improve this run year after year and build a stronger relationship with the community.
Registration and Packet Pick Up
- Online Registration: All participants are required to register online. Online registration will continue to be available until 11:59:59 pm on October 3rd 2026.
- 5K Run/Walk Start - 8:00 AM
- Early Registration from 07/01/2026 until 09/04/2026 - Price will be $35 if you register.
- Pre Registration from 09/05/2026 untill 10/03/2026 - Price will be $40 if you register.
- Day of Registration - Registering the day of the race will be $45. ****Registration will only be avaliable till 7:00am on race day****
- 5K Run/Walk Start - 8:00 AM
- Pre-Race Packet Pick Up:

Challenge Coin and Awards
Registration Perks:
- All Early and Pre registrations up to 10/03/2026 will recieve a free challenge coin representing the 2nd annual Patrol the Pavement 5k. You can pick up your coin on site the day of the race.
Event Features:
- Timing mats at the Starting Line and Chip Timing for Finish Results.
- Live results via text and email messaging.
- Directional signs at all turns.
- No processing fee for online signup.
- Finisher photo and video.
Awards:
- Award Ceremony after race. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place overall.
- 1st place award for each age category.
2nd Annual T-Shirt
- T-Shirts are avaliable when signing up for the race. $30.00 per shirt.
*IMPORTANT*
- Sales will be discontinued on 09/04/2026. This allows time for our T-Shirt provider to make the correct number of shirts and correct sizes.
- T-Shirts can be picked on on site the day of the race.
*** We will not give you your "friends" T-Shirt. They will have to pick it up themselves***
